When to start looking for daycare?

Hey ladies.  I know it is early but I was wondering when we should start looking for daycare (and place a deposit).  We are going to need b/w 3-5 days/week.  (And probably won't know how many days until late Spring).  So any recommendations in the King of Prussia area that are flexible with days would be great.  Thanks!

Re: When to start looking for daycare?

  • We just started looking at daycares...I'm about 15 weeks now. I hope to get something set-up by February. We live in CC and a lot of places fill up early, I've heard. Good luck!

  • It's never too early to start looking.  Most of the centers have waiting lists.
  • Never too early-

A lot of places only do FT for newborn care. Just so you know.

    KOP: check out-

Malvern School (that is where we would have sent Gisele)

Very true.  I only found one that had part time (Garrett Williamson)

  • Now is good time

FYI- The difference in cost between 3 and 5 days of week was  minimal (at least at the daycare center we use).

  • We started looking when I was around 20 wks and deposited about 2 months later. The only daycare that we found did part time was Play & Learn (playandlearn.com) The closest location to you would probably be Blue Bell though.
