Back from 2nd appointment :)

I was a little nervous when I went in an realized my MW was not working today, who I thought I'd scheduled with, but instead I'd be seeing a male OB. I have never seen a male for this kind of thing and was feeling apprehensive, especially when he didn't even close the door completely. But, he was very very nice and funny and he listened with the doppler, all is good. HB was 170 and he said he thought my baby was very strong! He also then blamed miscarriages on men and their sperm and chastised me for wearing pointy shoes.

He wrote me a scrip for the NT scan without my having to ask about it and said to do it in about 10 days, so we'll schedule it for the week after Christmas. He also referred me to an endo to check out my rising thyroid hormones, and I was very grateful for this, as most docs don't take that stuff seriously in my experience. All in all, it was a very good and reassuring appointment.
