I recently moved to Warminster, over 1.5 hours away from my old home. I need to switch my OBGYN to something close. We plan to TTC starting February, so I'd like to get in soon... Any rec's?
Do you know what hospital you want to deliver at? It's best to start there and then see which dr's offices are affiliated with the hospital you want to deliver at.
You can also do a Dr. search on the hospital's website and you can get office names to research about.

I've heard great things about abington hospital, and I know that is about 20 minutes away from me. I was also curious if there were great hospitals in doylestown/southampton that are as good as abington.
I love my doctor- Abington OBGYN. They have locations in Warrington, Abington, and Horsham. Haven't had any bad experiences there. I usually see Dr. Fonslick, and have seen Nurse Practitioner Liza Fell once also, but do not have experience with the other docs.
Hwain had some issues with docs in that practice, though. I've not had issues, and plan to stick with them, because I 100% want to deliver at Abington.

Abington is def. closer to me. I'm looking into https://wcobgyn.net/locations.html and they deliver at abington hospital. I plan to call and speak with someone this week about it, and go in for the annual. If I like them, I'll go back when I need to.
Thanks girls! I'll also check out what you suggested Jamie. Congrats btw
Jamie, I've had problems at your practice... which you know of already lol. Like how when I was pregnant their first question was if I was giving the baby up. I totally switched from them after I had my son.
Abington was ok... no problems for me (this was 7.5 years ago though), but it's just too far away for us now if there is even an emergency or something like that.
Jac, there is also Holy Redeemer. Is that any closer for you? My current ob/gyn is affiliated with Holy Redeemer. It's a bit closer than Abington for us but I'm going to stick with St. Mary's since it's only 4 miles from my house.

Please tell me you hit them, hard. Who the eff says this?
Heather- would you mind sharing, either on here or text or something, which doctor(s) you had issues with at that practice? I'd like to at least try to steer clear of it, though I've heard I'll have to meet all of them sometime.

You have two good choices near you - Holy Redeemer and Abington. Abington is better by the opinions of many. Holy Redeemer maternity unit is relatively new, besides, Abington has ICU. I have been with Abington OB-GYN and had issues, just like Heather. Now I am with Womencare OB-GYN (also in Abington). They have been great so far. They have two offices: Abington one and one in Willow Grove. Plus they have evening hours, which is very convenient
I delivered at Holy Redeemer and I loved my experience there. The nurses were great and so are the doctors. The practice I go to is Dr. Deeney and Associates.
Very late on this but Jac Doylestown is much closer to you but Abington is not that far away. I'm delivering in Doylestown and use Doylestown Women's Center. Overall I really like the doctors, the staff is another story. GL!
My friend works at the center for Womens health in Langhorne and loves the doctors there. I believe theyre affiliated with St Marys as Heather suggested. I may look into them when we're ready since we live really close to there.
Just realized I am super late replying to this. I don't normally check out these boards but lately I have wanted to "gather some info" for the future.. Sorry for the delayed reply!
Re: OBGYN in Bucks County

I found this place, and they seem great and deliver at abington, just wanted some personal feedback as well.
I'm looking at Womans Care Langhorne now too :-). I'd like to deliver at a hospital close to me that is awesome when I do need to.

I believe you won't be sorry. They seem really nice, have decent hours, and very private, meaning no one will be questioning you in the hallway.
One of the doctors there delivered my friend's baby many years ago and she saved the baby's life. now the little boy is 5 and doing well.
How many weeks are you?
