I need funeral fashion advice.

in Babies on the Brain
would it be inappropriate for me to wear my yellow sweater with my black dress pants?  I don't want to be inappropriate, but I also don't want to wear all black.  Thoughts?

    I think that yellow should be ok if worn with dark pants.

    But then again, I hate wearing black to funerals at all.

    I think it should be okay.

    If you aren't sure you can always wear a darker color like grey or red.

    Thanks guys.  I just don't want to be "that girl" you know.  FWIW I'm more than likely going to be in the back of the church with my jacket on with K anyway...but ::shrugs::

     

    I'm in the office today and tomorrow.  Calling hours are Friday and the funeral is Saturday.  Yesterday was a VERY long day.  We didn't get home until close to 7pm.  Thankfully K was an angel the entire time and provided a nice distraction for everyone.

    I have been to 3 funerals in 3 months.   Sucky.

    I think you should be ok, how bright is the yellow?

    Yeah, it's definitely a crappy time of the year.  BUT, as DH has said - he was 90, a Pearl Harbor Survivor, lived a happy life and passed in his sleep without pain.  You can't ask for anything more than that.

    Yellow is fine...I don't think you have to wear black. I wore brown.

    Yellow should be fine.  I always wear black slacks with a colored top to funerals.  All black is too much for me.

    If there is a way to live and then go this is the way.  A nice long life and passing in your sleep.  We can only hope to be so lucky.
