If your LO has a tooth already...

How long after it broke through did they act like the world was coming to an end? You would have never known DS was getting a tooth until it broke through and now he screams non-stop and wakes up every thirty mins at night. How long does this last because I'm inches away from dying from lack of sleep.

    I always thought it got better once it broke through - maybe he's about to get a second one.  C's are very close and last night was hell.  I think he's not in horrible pain but uncomfortable enough that he wants to be held all night long.  I'm a zombie.

    he was miserable before it broke through and then his happy/normal self afterwards. if your LO is still super fussy, maybe he is getting another one? if you can see another one and he seems like he's in pain, try giving him Infant Motrin instead of tyleno before he goes to sleepl. it lasts 8 hours instead of 4 and with DS, it seems to help a little better. GL :)

    OP's LO is 4 mo old - def check with the doc before giving Motrin to an infant under 6 mo.

    DD was miserable for almost a week after each tooth came in.

    Yeah, he seemed to get better for awhile after the bottom two broke through within a day of each other. We are back to hell again and I think its the top teeth coming in.
