Back from IUI and a question about HPT

Good Evening ladies,

Just thought id let everyone know that the IUI went fine and now we are onto our 2WW. 

 Did any one's DR tell them NOT to do a HPT? Ours told us to go in and have blood taken instead.

    They probably don't want you to test early and get a false positive from the trigger shot.  The trigger generally takes 10 days to get out of your system, but if you happen to metabolize it slow, I suppose it could take longer.  Whatever you do, good luck.

    Mine said I don't need to because I'll have a beta, but I will test anyway since I don't want bad beta news while at work with no prior warning.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    Good luck with your IUI!  My RE didn't mention anything about a HPT but I have a beta scheduled instead.
    FET to TTC #2: 9/29/14 Beta on 10/8/14 = BFP!
    DS #1 Born 1/3/11 after IVF #1
    4 failed IUIs, including 1 CP
    PCOS
    TTC since 2008
