I must have heard it 20 times at my MIL's viewing and funeral. Though, In some ways a do believe it. She had grandchildren waiting for her in heaven. But I still wish we had them here with us.

In your situation... I would agree the best place for him is with you... and I am so, so sorry he is not, hun.

For me, she really is in a better place. Haleigh suffered so much. This world was cruel to her and caused her much pain and discomfort.... but, I could see how that statement would be hurtful in your situation.

Me too. Not a single person has said that but (a) a lot of people seem to be just not talking to me or acknowledging it (b) most people in my life know I'm an atheist and to keep all that god stuff to themselves.

I have A LOT of IRL friends who have gone through similar losses so they know about it. Now having said that, I do have IRL friends who have not had losses but have said insensitive things to me, but are not the same as what is asked above...

Every time I hear it I want to scream...Really it happened for a reason??? I would love to know what reason there was for me to lose my baby...See I told you I was bitter and nasty today...lf I hear it again I may have to smack someone!
