When did your baby

Hi! Jumping over here a couple of weeks early to ask a question. When did your LO stare less at lights, pictures, ect. and more at people? Ethan will look at me during feedings but for the most part looks all around ( lights are his best friend.) When myself or others talk to him he'll smile in response but won't necessarily look at ne/ them. Is this still normal for this age? Thanks:)

    My DS looks at people, but he still definitely likes lights (like light-up toys)

    He really started interacting at 3.5/4 months. He still goes into his own little world from time to time, though. I wouldn't worry just yet. It's a big new world to them and eventually they get bored of those lights and zero in on your face, lol.

    At our house - probably 3-3.5 months. 

    Out in public - he still prefers lights over people. lol

    my LO used to be obsessed with the combination of the ceiling fan and light in his room. now he could care less about it. he does still like art, but he doesn't care so much about lights anymore. i'm guessing he stopped liking lights around 3 months? and his vision has definitely improved over the last month, and he can see us and respond to our voice from all the way across the room!

    hey jess! will still looks at lights and ceiling fans...he's starting to pay more attention to people now though. Will was totally like E at that age

    Sounds pretty normal to me.   My LO did the same thing and then around three months got increasingly more social. I remember LO first making eye contact around 6 weeks but not regularly...more just social smiles. Now that we're getting close to 4 months he's beginning to see me across the room.  It's fun to have more interaction.  You have a lot to look forward to since they change soo fast at this age. Oh yeah, lights are still a big deal...he'll stare forever at the recessed lighting in the living room and kitchen.  The Christmas tree is awesome too.
