This is in response to MamaManda mentioning we were born when a the name Amanda was super popular...just curious and for fun how many of us are there!?
And that is precisely the reason that I insist LO's name is NOT on the top 10.
Ugh. My DS's name (Nathan) was (approx.) #27 on the baby names list in 2006. He was born on 1/7/2007. In 2007 Nathan jumped up to right around #7. Seriously? I was so irritated.
I eventually started going as Mandy, because I though it would ease some of the confusion between the 5 Amanda's in my class. But, then I just became one of the tons of Mandys in high school.

I always went by Mandi until my "grown-up" years in college and now for my business.
There were A LOT of Amandas in my graduating class and two of them had the same last initial as me and we always got stuck in the same row alphabetically. That really flipped the teachers out--so I just told them to switch to Mandi to make life less confusing.
I was born in 1981 BTW.
I also got 'Manda a few times growing up--but for the most part, family and friends call me Mandi.

I want to scream, "I had it first!" lol
A deceptively large # of Amanda's based on the # of responses
I didn't know a lot of Amanda's in school - only 1 and 1 Mandy. I was never a Mandy, though. Were any of you?
