I'm craving a lot of the same things I did with Kenley...milk, sweets, fruit, salad (OMG what I wouldn't give for a lb of cucumbers right now), orange juice, popsicles, etc.
I was talking with a friend last night and we were going over our cravings we had when we were pregnant with girls...makes me wonder if this could be another girl.
What were your cravings and what did you have?
ETA: OH and cereal. I couldn't get enough cereal last time and I'm wanting it a lot this time too.
Re: What were your food cravings/what did you have?
I craved turkey sandwiches with avocado in the beginning and sweets at the end...had a girl.
For like the first fifteen weeks, I craved wild berry Skittles and Squirt soda. That's it. I despised garlic and onion and wanted to puke any time that I smelled them.
When I got into my second trimester, I craved Italian food a lot. I could have eaten three pounds of pasta for dinner and would've been content.
I also adored ice cream in a terrible way. My third trimester, I survived off of ice cream because it was all I wanted and it was so freaking hot outside.
Oh, and I also wanted cheese curds. Wisconsin cheese curds that squeak when you bite them. Mmmm. And banana peppers. I would go to Subway and get a foot long with only pepper jack cheese, a ridiculous amount of banana peppers, and pickles.
I had a girl.
This was me too! Ice cream and shaved ice.
I should have bought stock in Ben&Jerry's and Coldstone. For real.
OMG me too! Ben and Jerry's cookies and cream was ALL I wanted. DH hated going there b/c it started adding up! LOL
The Phish Food flavor did me in. I would give DH puppy eyes and he would sigh and get up. Poor guy. That stuff does add up.
And I remember going to Coldstone and getting cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears and nerds on top. BARF. That sounds so nasty now, but I scarfed it down.
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
Unfortunately nothing healthy. I wanted burgers and fries the whole time. Oh and there was a short time when I wanted Chevy's chips and salsa.
I wish I was one of those women who craved fruit and vegetables.
The only weird thing I craved was citrus -- I could have sucked lemons all day in the first trimester.
I also craved ice cream and brownies, but I have a sweet tooth normally, so that isn't all that unusual.
I had a boy.
citrus, citrus and more citrus. I never had any cravings with K, but this time I want to eat oranges, lemonade, lemon popsicles, even plain lemon. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it.
I know citrus is supposed to be a girl craving, and I DO have a feeling it's another girl.
When pg w/ dd1 I craved milk, lots of milk, veggies and fruit. when pg w/ dd2 I craved junk! the sweeter the better, the worse the food was for me the more i wanted it.
dark beer, mexican, veggies and fruit. and icees.
I wanted turkey and mayo sandwiches something bad! And everything sour - I would eat 4-5 oranges every day or I would peel a lemon and eat it like an orange. That got some strange looks! I also craved salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing and a lot of red onions.
Funnily, I hated tuna salad pre-pregnancy and one day when I was about 20 weeks I was walking by a deli and saw a tuna salad sandwich. I had to have one immediately! For the rest of my pregnancy I ate a tuna salad sandwich once a week - would have had more except for the whole mercury problem.
m/c at 13 weeks - March 23, 2011
I wanted anything sweet. Fruit, candy, slurrpies, popsicles, CHOCOLATE! I also wanted cereal a lot. I could not stand meat or green veggies.
I had a girl.
Spinach salads, sweet tarts
I always love cereal, so that wasn't really a pg thing, just more of it!
If my siggy pic doesn't give it away, I had a boy.
Dairy and oranges.
I felt a bit like a drug addict- I would be in pain by the end of the day if I didn't have any dairy. I hate milk (and that didn't change with pregnancy) so if we were out of yogurt and cheese I paid for it. I went through 3 or 4 large tubs of yogurt per week. And I always had both of my fruit drawers filled with oranges. To be honest I never even realized that the oranges were a pregnancy craving (I just thought I had re-discovered how delicious oranges were) until after I had my baby and both drawers full of oranges went moldy because I stopped had eating them.
I had a boy.
With DS: hashbrowns with cheese, cherry danishes. I couldn't stand chocolate or pretty much any baked goods besides the danish.
This pregnancy: salad, swedish fish, anything sweet, chocolate.
Wondering if this one might be a girl.
