We are making the very long drive home for the holidays. This will be the longest we've been in the car with DD, ever. Luckily, she likes car rides but I am super nervous about the drive. I think I am more nervous for this trip than I was for our first flight a couple of weeks back!
Any tips on how to survive very long car rides with a baby? Thanks!
Re: s/o: Tips for a long driving trip with a baby
just plan on it taking 11 freakin' hours.
Yeah, we're prepared for it to take MUCH longer than usual. But, I just worry about how this will all go down with a babe in the car this time.
In my experience, it just depends on DD's mood. Sometimes when we drive to Corpus Christi (3 1/2 hours) it takes 5 hours due to her being extra fussy. But then we went to Baton Rouge (10 1/2 hours) and she was a saint. I think she had one breakdown and we pulled over and nursed rather then bottled fed and we were back on the road within 20 minutes.
I know my answer does not include any tips so its no help, but that's my experience. Random. If you find any tricks after your trip please share
