I just wrote this long post and there was an error. D'oh!

Ok, ok, bear with me, just hear me out. Your endocrine system is all connected, it's not just a series of organs that produce, emit and absorb hormones in isolation. Take, for example, gestational diabetes. A reliable way to regulate your body's hormones is to strictly limit, if not cut out entirely, the starchy carbs and (added) sugars from your diet. Those of you with PCOS already know this. It goes for hormonally-driven acne as well. Get your carbs from fruits, veggies and nuts, and skip the grains, starchy potatoes, and junk food. For real. Get your body off the insulin roller coaster and its many side effects (like acne).
Also, increasing your consumption of foods with anti-inflammatory properties will help with hte inflammation associated with acne: fish, omega 3 supplements, fruits & veggies, eggs. Not coincidentally, starchy carbs and sugars also promote inflammation in the body.

Re: Re: acne post from ealier (Colinda's never-ending nutritional advice mentioned)

Are you POAS Christmas Eve? My chart is not so pretty so I am a shot in the dark too...but still hopeful!
It will still help regulate your hormones. Maybe your diet keeps your hormones at a certain level, and pre-loss that level was such that you didn't get acne; and now it's keeping your hormones out-of-whack post-loss, at a level that does cause acne. Did that make sense? I can't figure out how to word it so it doesn't sound confusing. Basically, maybe changing the way you eat would help bring your hormones back to pre-loss levels.
Yes, Christmas Eve. Not a clue where I'll be, but I *think* I ovulated on Sunday...so that would be good. Add me to the list! Oh, and can I have the badge again? I know you already posted it...
Great advice. Also, dairy products can wreak havoc on your hormones, so reducing (not totally eliminating) dairy can help. I have tried both of these things and they do help.
Do I stick with these diet plans? Nope. :::hangs head in shame and goes to the store to buy more expensive acne creams:::
