I suck at life.

1. My adorable students made 4 batches of cake balls. I ate four huge ones yesterday and two so far today.

2. I missed my email alert that my BR card bill was due. In November. Got slapped with a late fee and a finance charge (which they later reversed, but still).

3. I missed my email alert that my mortgage was due Dec. 1. How on earth do you forget something like that? Paid today with a late fee, and a ding on our credit. 

What's wrong with me?

OH! And I forgot to close our garage door this morning. My neighbor texted me - she's a sweetheart so she closed it for us. Good thing we "lock" the door to our house. And by "lock" I mean "leave unlocked". FAIL.

    It's mommy brain, I promise.  I swear I am 99% more likely to completely forget something important now than I was before Jackson.

    Speaking of BR bills, I have a $4.76 credit because I somehow overpaid.  Lame.

    I always thought mommy brain was an excuse moms used that they made up as a scapegoat. Nope. It's real. 100% real. I'm one of the most on-top-of-it people I know (yes, I'm tooting my former horn) yet now I can't even make a mortgage payment on time? It comes due the same day every month! WTF.

    I also suck at life.  I've been racking my brain for specific examples and I can't even remember those.  I wonder if my own mom was less of a dingbat before she had kids.

    Mom brain.  I check repeatedly to see if we paid our mortgage because I can't remember. I annoy myself.

    Oh man....rough morning!

    I, too, have lost my mind.  Right before my SIL had her baby I almost asked her if she had thought about names.  They announced the name the day they found out they were having a girl.  Duh...

    Then yesterday I apparently thought I was standing over a sink, not a recycle bin because I dumped my hot water in the bin.  WTF.

    I hope it comes back soon.
