Trying to Get Pregnant

Tuesday question about FMU

I just started using a CBEFM so I need to use FMU with it. I generally go to bed at 10ish but 6 of the 7 nights a week, I have to get up around 1 to pee. I then go back to sleep and wake-up at 4 to temp and go pee again. Then wake up @ 6 to take the dogs out and get ready for work. ( Oh, and pee again). This happens no matter when I cut myself off at night from drinking liquids ( whether I stop right before bed or have my last sip with dinner)

Now, would the 1am pee break be considered FMU or should I wait to POAS until I get up at 4 ? I have a small bladder so there is no way I could hold it and not pee @1. Would it really matter which I do as I'm not drinking anything when I'm asleep or would the 4am pee be better to use as it's been hanging out in my digestive track longer.

TIA

Re: Tuesday question about FMU

  • if you can consistently get up to pee at 4am, then that is the one i'd use.  i use cbefm also.  just don't forget you have a window from the time you start cd1 each month.  so you'd need to pee between like 3 and 5 ish if you started at 4 on CD1

  • FMU doesn't have any magical powers, it's just been sitting in your bladder the longest.  If 3 hours is the longest you can hold it (10-1 or 1-4), I'd take it at 4, I guess.

  • Great, thanks. I actually have been doing the 4am POAS-ing but for some reason today I was thinking that the 1 am may be considered more FMU since it's the 1st time I get up to go.

  • yeah, i think technically FMU is code for urine that is the most concentrated and not spoiled by lots of drinks.
