Implantation bleeding - a myth?

I need you ladies to talk me down. This whole implantation bleeding thing is a total mind f*** for me! I have a little episode every month where I think that the very start of AF might be implantation bleeding, and then I let myself POAS until I am absolutely sure what is going on.

So on Sunday, I called AF because there had been some very light spotting on Saturday, and on Sunday I actually saw some bright red blood when I wiped (TMI, i know). So, I brought out the tampons (again, TMI), and today I don't think I need them. Super light, brownish disacharge and my temp the stayed up. It's AF - 99.9% sure. Better be all figured out by the time day 5 rolls around and I am supposed to start Clomid.

Talk me down, ladies! Tell me how unlikely this damned implantation bleeding is!

I've heard of this mythical implantation bleeding...but never experienced it. Not sure how common it really is.

I've had implantation bleeding both pregnancies I though it was the onset of af both times however it wasn't red red it was more of a really light faint pinkish color no red. Don't know anyone elses experience but no bright red either time for me.

It happens to some people. I never had it with 4 pregnancies. However, this past cycle (we are tta until the new year) and I had spotting for 2 days at 7 and 8 dpo. I really thought it was implantation spotting but I just finished my period so I know it wasn't. I just think my hormones are all sorts of out of wack these days (even though that was my 3rd cycle after mc). I hope it was implantation for you. Did it happend between 7-10 dpo? GL

I've never had implantation bleeding with either of my bfps but it's not impossible. keep on POAS just to be sure.

Ugh. Never had implantation bleeding with the first pregnancy, but then again, I didn't pay attention to every little thing the way I do now (surprise pg . . . wish I could do it again). If the red had continued until today, I would not be questioning. It would be about 6 dpo for me today if that was the case. I will keep peeing on my dollars, chasing the myth, until it is time to start Clomid, I guess.

I did have some implantation bleeding, but it was light pink. I thought it might AF but AF for me usually starts with red spotting. I hope everything gets figured out.

Well that's frustrating!! It is possible that it's implantation bleeding, but I'm not speaking from experience...I didn't have it with either of my bfp's. If AF stays mysteriously light, I'd probably ask my Dr. for a blood test just to be sure before starting Clomid on day 5. They could do a beta on day 4 and you should have the result in time to start clomid the next day if it is negative. GL!!

How frustrating. I would love to talk you down and tell you that implantation bleeding doesnt exist- however, I have had 3 pregnancies and every single time I had implatation bleeding/spotting. For me it started anywhere from 6-9 DPO. It lasted about 3 days on and off, sometimes it was very light pink but occassionally it would be bright red. I have had one sucessful preg with the same pattern.

I had it with my lost PG in July. 8-10 DPO I had the lightest pink when I wiped. Like you, I assumed AF was on her way and got out the supplies. It wasn't until 13DPO that I realized my temps were up and took the digital. I should have been clued in then, because all of the internet cheapies and FRER were negative, even after getting the + on the CBE digital.

I hope this is a different outcome for you! Our bodies and cycles can be so frustrating at times.

My implantation bleeding with my pregnancies was almost like a light period. Enough to wear a liner, but not a tampon (sorry if TMI). Bright red. In fact it was enough that 2 pg I thought it was AF, but then continued pg symptoms and POAS 2 wks later and got a BFP. It's different for everyone.

I had it with my first pregnancy, mostly brown and pink with a small amount of bright red. I convinced myself it was AF since it lasted about 4 days, but I was wrong. I didn't have any bleeding with my second until I miscarried of course.

I don't think it's a myth at all. I had some spotting at 8 and 9 dpo this cycle, and a temp dip at 7 dpo (possible implantation dip). I definitely agree with the previous poster. If you're still not sure, I'd get a beta before starting Clomid. Good luck!!
