What age are pillows OK?

DD is 2 1/2 and still in her crib. I usually put her in with a couple of small blankets and that's it. Lately she's been bunching them up and sleeping with her head on them like they are pillows. What age are pillows considered safe? I'm thinking something small like the size of an airplane pillow would be perfect.... what do you think?

I started at 20 mos. He was doing the blanket bunching thing. I just made him a small, not very fluffy, pillow. He loves it.

We switched DD to a full size bed at 18 months and that is when we gave her a pillow. I dont know if I would be comfortable with a pillow in a crib

dd got a pillow around 18 months when she showed interest in pillows. She is still in a crib too. I got a small one from www.onestepahead.com & it's perfect for her.

We gave DS a pillow around 13 months. He uses one of the toddler pillows from Mr. Bobble's Blankets (love their stuff!)

DS was doing the blanket bunching or asking to steal one of our pillows at around 20 months so we took him to the mall and let him pick out a Pillow Pet - he loves it and it fits nicely in the crib.

One year was what my doc said. Harm would be lost w/o his pillow! We use a regular thin one.
