hormones and hunger do not play nice together

I had to run errands after work and by the time I got home at 6:30 and I was a light-headed, nauseous mess.  I was trying to make a sandwich to eat b/c I felt so awful and just started crying.   I ate a yogurt before I left work, but I guess that wasn't enough.

Does anyone have any filling, healthy snacks that can tide me over?

 Thanks!

  • Cucumbers and light ranch dressing. I love how they're chock full of water, smell fresh and are absolutely delicious!

  • mine are those peanut butter sandwhich crackers. They're salty and help with nausea and have protein and last fine in the car and my purse. I'm sure you've seen them. the cracker are bright orange... I've always wondered why they were orange....

  • Crackers and raisins are nice to keep in your purse - and they don't need to be refrigerated.  Granola bars are also good for this reason.

  • No, hormones and hunger do not play nice together at all. :)  I like to mix my own trail mix by buying the different ingredients in bulk. That way you can put in what you like and leave out what you don't.
  • I keep containers of trail mix, almonds, and luna bars with me at all times
  • Pumpkin Seeds are yummy too. =)
