I'd been at work for like, 15 minutes this morning when they called me- he was running in the classroom and fell and bumped his head on the low table. He's got a pretty decent gash, shallow, but about .half an inch long.
I took him to our pedi- they got him in right away so I didn't have to do ER (yay)- and they said no stitches but they did the liquid stitches they call dermabond. He had to be restrained in the papoose straightjacket thing and it was sooooo sad. "Please Mama, no, please, no doctor Mama! Please all done pleeeeeease all done!'
He has been sleeping since 1 PM, I gave him some Motrin and have been checking him. Poor little guy. He has the derma-bond covered with a band aid and just wanted the band aid off. He hasn't figured out how to take it off so hopefully he won't! He's so exhausted from the whole experience. (Come to think of it- I am too!)
Anyway, that's my Monday! At least I get to chill and nest for a little while instead of being hectic at work... I'll take any "keep that band aid on" dust you have... we're going in tomorrow at lunchtime to have them check it. I'll keep you posted!

Re: Alex bumped his head at school :(
Aww, poor baby...and poor mama. Thinking of you guys, and hoping he keeps that band-aid on. Poor poor kid
I totally remember having to be restrained when I had stitches (veeeery close to my eyeball) when I was 4. I can remember looking down at my dad who had to hold my legs down b/c my legs were too strong for the velcro restraints and I was like "daddy...why? Please let go...Make them stop!" and he was totally crying
heartbreaking. I have obviously forgiven him...and honestly I now feel a little bad for breaking his heart so much. I'm sure paybacks will be quite unfun when I'm a mom someday.
((hugs))
Good luck! Lots of dust. I actually had dermabond for my C-Section wound closure, so it's strong stuff.
Poor little guy! I'm glad he didn't need stiches and I hope he shakes it off soon:)
