oh please help! i need tips how how to get my daughter trained we have been wokring on it for MONTHS! and getting NO WHERE!!! im at my witts end any tips would be helpful!
3 Day Potty Training Program. Google it. We were completely done and fine tuned 100% day and night by one week with zero accidents. I like it because I was not about to go through trying to potty train for months. Drawing things out and going with the flow isn't my style. I like to get in and get things done and move on with my life. Not a knock on you. It's just the way I do things.
We took my son to Mexico three weeks later with zero diapers, swimmers, pullups, and ZERO accidents.
I haven't heard this program fail for anyone who has tried it when the kid is your child's age. One woman on here did it with her very young 22m old (the program does say you can do it with a 22m old) but she wasn't emotionally ready for it. Other than that, the program works.
Sorry, I did the 3 day thing and I FAILED to all ends!!! My friend did it as well with her 2 yr old and FAIL. The duaghter peed everywhere for 5 days, and never once in the potty!!
DS is pee trained. he is scared to death to poop on the potty though. We have tried that whole special item thing that the 3 day suggests, but he just threw it on the floor and said no poop no poop!!!
What I do agree with on the 3 day potty training is not sitting them down for long periods of time. Let them tell you when they have to go. and as soon as they start peeing rush them to the potty saying we go pee on the potty. this totally worked for my DS. We had tried in the past and constantly asked, do you have to go and he would get mad. after about 5-6 days of me saying tell me IF you have to go, he know tells me.
telling them to tell you if they have to go, puts the responsibility on them. makes them feel like they have control. This SOOO worked for my son who wants to do everything himself!!!
Honestly? I'd back off for a while. She's still well within the "normal range" for kids to be having trouble with potty-training. If you have been at it for months and getting nowhere, it sounds like she is not ready.
And FWIW, I did try the 3 day method when my DD was 2 years 4 months and it totally FAILED. I was super consistent and did everything "by the book" and she never got it. She just didn't have the muscle control yet.
