Amherst (and Hamburg) BRU

I really hate it there...I can't wait for Buy Buy Baby to come and put them out of business. ; )

The past two times we have gone there recently...we have purchased something that needs to be returned because (1) it was already opened and used, with no interior packaging or instructions and (2) it had no tag (which I didn't realize the entire thing was gone...I just thought she grabbed another once for the code because part of it was missing) and it was on the wrong hanger (saying 0-3 when it was really a 6mo) and it had black crap all over both of the feet. I admit - I should have caught the last one...but I'm pregnant with a baby, which equals about 1/100th of the average person's shopping stamina.

Anyway - just a vent and a little PSA...check your stuff from there!

    Same with the one here in Hamburg! I always have trouble returning things there, things I have never even opened but on more than one occasion I've gotten clearly used items, new. Our baby Einstein jumper had FOOD stuck in the little tray part when we opened it "new", lol.

    I really don't like going there either and I hated registering there but felt the options other places were too limited.

    When we go in we can be there for hours without a single person acknowledging that we are there. No "May I help you?" offers at all. 

    One night we were there when the manager was taking forever with one customer explaining all of the cribs. We were standing right next to the crib as he explained and never once did he say, "do you have a question" or "someone will be right with you" or some sense that we were standing there.

    I can't stand business that have horrible customer service practices!

    We went to BBBaby in Rochester while we were visiting and LOVED it. The store itself and the service. We asked when it was coming to Buffalo and she said probably next year.

    But it was still new-ish and the workers still cared about making a good impression, I'm sure. But hey - it's nice to have options! I don't do WalMart and Target only has so much.

    I bought an outfit from there that was missing a piece too (it was a dress, and it was missing the little bloomers).. I bought it in amherst, but returned it to hamburg and the hamburg lady said that the amherst store tries to get away with selling damaged crap like that all the time.. AND when I went to get the wastebasket and hamper for eve's room from amherst, they had two damaged ones out on their shelf and no others.. So I ended up going to the one in Rochester, where they gave me bad directions and I ended up having to call Sandi to get me unlost, but when I went to Rochester, the lady THERE said that the Amherst store does crap like that all the time too! I did get an un damaged one in Rochester..

    I do like Buy Buy Baby, but they are sometimes almost TOO overly eager.. Like leave me alone.. I was in there once with a screaming Eve (shocking, I know).. and a lady came up and asked if I needed help finding anything.. I told her yeah.. "A happy baby."

    Maybe we should start a complaint campaign and see if there are any changes. We should be as proactive as possible if this is all we have for a while.

    Amherst and Hamburg are a DREAM compared to Eastern Hills BRU.  When they "renovated" I don't think they updated the locations in their registry system and customer service is non-existent.  I cringe if I have to  go in there.

    hmm i've always liked the eastern hills tru.. i did not realize they added a full bru although i've noticed the sign.
