  Update: Well, so far we are doing pretty good. The girls are starting to sleep a little longer at night and they are growing well.  At their one month check up Kathryn was 7 lbs 1 oz (4 lbs 8 oz at birth) and Sarah was 6 lbs 7.5 oz (4lbs 3 oz at birth) and were very healthy overall.  Sarah has some slight frontal bussing to her forehead that the pediatrician wants checked out by a pediatric neurologist.  Basically he is concerned that her brain is growing forward in her head instead of back like it is supposed to.  We finally got the referral from tricare on Saterday and now I just have to make the appointment.

  QOTD: We did not co sleep and didn't plan to do so. Just didn't work for me and my family.

  Update: Saw OB last week for 16 wk appt.  All goes well.  2 strong HBs, 2 sacs, 2 placentas.  Got my referral to the MFM for a Level II u/s, which is set for week 21.  ETA: Start bi-weekly cervical checks at 18 weeks, on Christmas Eve.

  QOTD: No, we won't cosleep.  We didn't with DD due to a number of reasons (fear of rolling on her, wanting to sleep decently), and we won't with the twins.  DD slept in our room for the first 3 months, which probably won't happen this time either.  I've become a very light sleeper, and having them in our room during someone else's 'shift' means I still won't get any sleep.

  yes and until they will be sleeping through the night.  since their room is right next to my daughter, i would prefer them not waking her up too.

  OB appt tomorrow to do my "regular" glucose test (had passed the early one - hoping for same results!).  Also want to discuss my birth plan and get it signed off on so I can submit it to the hospital.  And, last but not least hoping they followed thru w/ my peri's recommendation for me to stop working and have some sort of paperwork for me to give to my boss so that I can actually work from home till I have the babies.  I have a feeling it's going to be a very difficult appt.

  QOTD:  Not planning on co-sleeping...hope to have each of the girls in her own crib in their own room.  Figure I'll sleep in there for a while if it comes down to it.

  Update:  Nothing new to report.  Everything looks fine, and we'll do an amnio in 7 weeks (36 weeks) to check for lung development and then possibly deliver the girls.

  QOTD:  No, we don't plan to co-sleep.  I think we'll have them in our room in a pack n play for awhile, though.

  update: big anatomy scan tomorrow. excited to see the babies again! worried about my cervix since I keep having those darn BH contractions

  QOTD: we will probably try an arms reach co-sleeper and/or PNP in the bedroom, but we won't actually have them in the bed with us.

  Really starting to get uncomfortable. We still have 9 weeks left. I dont go back to the dr until 30 weeks (thought that was a long time) but everyone says we are doing perfect so no need to worry. I started getting really dizzy this weekend. At one point felt  like I was going to pass out. I am going to put a call into the dr today and see what that is all about. I am really startingto think about when  I will stop working. This morning was the first time I really felt like the end of me working was coming close. I want to work as long as possilbe but if I remain this uncomfortable I am not sure that it will be that long.

   

  We do not plan to cosleep in the bed. We have however bought a pack n play and we have set up one crib in our room since the nursery is on the other side of the house and upstairs (master is down stairs). I do not want to have to climb the stair multiple times a night. I am sure there will be a lot of trial and error!

  QOTD.  I am going to try EBF so we bought two deluxe snuggle nests to try co-sleeping with for a bit.  We have a king sized bed so hopefully that will be enough room for all of us.  Then we bought a pack and play for when they are too large for the snuggle nests and will likely buy two ikea cribs for after that.

  You can add me to the list!  I have girls due April 29th.

  Nothing to announce.  Still feeling really good (at 20 weeks now).  Can't wait to stop working because I hate my job!  Really looking forward to getting organized for the girls!  Had my major anatomy scan and they are perfect and head down (hope they stay that way!)

  They will share a crib in our room for several months but I think actual co-sleeping will be impossible since we only have a queen bed!  It was tough with our DD I can't imagine with 2 DD's :-)

  Update:  Nothing new to report.  Continue to have a lot of Braxton Hicks.  The drs. are starting to think I have an irritable uterus and may contract like this throughout the pregnancy.  I have cervix checks once a week now to make sure everything is ok.  Next one is Thursday, during my growth scan.

  Today's Q:  We won't cosleep.  There is just no space for this and I'm not a big fan of the idea.  The boys will share a crib as long as possible though.

  Update: We are doing pretty good. One of the babies is a bit smaller so the OB is going to keep checking his/her growth. Last appointment, my BP was really high so she has me on meds but at the next appt, she will be testing for pre-e and if not, and it is still high, then it is PIH.

  Answer: No, we will not be cosleeping. My DF has odd working hours and I dont really want the babies to wake him up more than they need too. Also, I think, for us, it is more rational for the babies to be in their nursery. That being said, I'll probably be sleeping in there knowing how insane I am....

  Update:  4 cm dilated and 90% effaced as of Friday. I am scheduled to be induced on Thursday and am hoping to deliver the babies vaginally since they are both head down and about the same size (baby A might be a bit bigger)  In the meantime, I have tried a few OWT to induce labor and am still hoping to go into labor on my own

  QOTD: We plan to keep the babies in the PNP in our room while (and if) I am breastfeeding them.  Id like to get them into their own cribs by 10 weeks, which is when I go back to work.

  No new update from the weekend. Go in on Thursday for a BPP and growth ultrasound along with a regular appt. Just a little more tired than I have been. Its normal though.

  QOTD: Not going to cosleep. DH is a really hard sleeper and he is too scared to have a baby in the bed with us. With two babies, I don't think our queen bed is big enough! They will be in a PnP next to my side of the bed so I can get up and BF them. That being said, we will see how things go once they get here!

  Nothing to update - perse. Exciting for us - we got to hear the heartbeats this week. We are pretty stoked about that. I *think* that I have felt a few flutters, but as everyone else would probably say, they could also be gas or a few other things, either way, I'm still pretty excited. I'll just keep thinking that they are flutters!

  QOTD: We don't plan on co-sleeping, but that's just how we feel right now. We'll see how things go in about 5 months!

  Update: Had an NST today and ended up needing a biophysical on Baby A because she wasn't moving around enough.  She passed the biophysical "with flying colors" though so that's good!

  We're not going to cosleep because it just worries me too much and I'd never sleep!  Once our 2nd son was a bit older, he and I would both fall asleep in bed when he nursed, but it was never for very long.  I do wish I was able to nurse laying down with the twins though!!  It was so much more comfortable than sitting up.

  Found a new OB who I like and is willing to deliver vaginally if it is safe! YAY!!!!!! 

   

  Do I plan to co-sleep? No, not enough room in my bed lol.

  Update: Got my appointment moved up from Friday to tomorrow and doctor said she would be able to tell us the sexes tomorrow. She and my regular OB gave us guesses early at NT scan and a week after, so we will see if they were correct, since they both guessed boy/girl.

  QOTD: No co-sleeping, but they will be in the room in a PNP until we can move them to the nursery.

  Update: I had a quick appt this morning where my OB noticed my cervix is starting to shorten and soften.  The recommendation from here is to no longer commute to work - only work from home, and take several breaks throughout the day to have my feet up and meditate/relax. Everything else looks good still, though.  Next appt will be right before Christmas and then again just after the first of the year.
  

  QOTD: I won't be cosleeping.  Mostly because of a fear that I will roll over on them.  Also, I don't think there is enough room on our bed.  My DH already complains that I take my half out of the middle.    We will have them in a PNP in our room for the first several weeks/months assuming it goes well.
