41w Update and some progress

So, some progress has been made. I am up to 1cm dilated from a fingertip last week. Progress is progress, right? She was able to strip my membranes (which, I must say, was nothing like people have described it. I personally felt like the GBS swab was much worse. The worst part of the stripping was that her fist was pushing hard on my pubic bone. However, I can understand where it could hurt if you had a male with large hands.) I digress.

We're hoping the stripping will help Baby Ramsey make an independent entrance. We have a BPP u/s tomorrow afternoon and if he has not arrived by Wednesday, to the hospital we go. I will get started on misoprostol and if that has some effect, they may try another method before pitocin. If not, pitocin on Thursday morning. We'll see.
