I was put on home bedrest at 32 weeks for what they called pre-term contractions (not pre-term labor) I was put on procardia. I was allowed to shower and go up and down the stairs once/day. I cheated sometimes and got up to get food and drinks but for the most part my butt was in my glider all day and night.
Then at 35 weeks I went on hospital bedrest b/c Baby A was having trouble and then they did a c-section at 36 weeks b/c he wasn't getting better. I was only allowed to get up 1 or 2 times to shower in the hospital.
I was pretty much on modified bed rest my entire pg. I worked from home almost every day. There was 2 weeks of strict bedrest in there when I was having pre-term labor. I was in the hospital for a week of it and home for a week. That was from 30-32 weeks. They were born at 35 weeks due to pre-e.
Put off work at 28 weeks to "take it easy" and then put on bed rest at 30 weeks due to shorter cervical lenght (think that's what its called) and off bed rest at 34 weeks as labour would not have been stopped- delivered babies at 37 weeks 3 days.

I voted 'other' because (luckily) my OB has not mentioned any restrictions to me at all. I personally would like to have the word to take it easy, but so far, I'm still running around.
I was taken out of work 4 days before going in for my induction and told to take it easy (at 36 weeks)...and it was for high bp and dropping platelets...not PTL...
Im scheduled to be induced on Thursday and these three days are the first time I have been out of work my entire pregnancy. Im trying to enjoy every last minute of this time.

I'm currently 35 weeks and 3 days and haven't had any bedrest. My doc knew from the beginning that I couldn't stop "working" because I'm a SAHM of boys ages 3 and 1 : ) Nobody has ever mentioned restricting activity though.
no bedrest for my twin pg - i left work at 27w and took it very easy until i delivered at 38w. never had any issues.
ironically- i was on bedrest with my singleton pg - at 30w until 36w when i delivered due to high bp and kidney stones. (i had gone into PTL at 32w... and had kidney stones at 30w).
so you just never know- though with trips i'd suspect you'd have some bedrest for sure
I am not on any kind of bed rest right now but my dr told me she wants me to stop working at 20 weeks. I'm not working right now so it's not an issue. She did had a set of twins she delivered 3 weeks ago at 30 weeks (who I hear are doing great) so I guess she is very cautious.
Re: clicky bedrest poll
i was on hospital bedrest, but it was not like "real" bedrest. i was just supposed to relax. it wasn't for pre-term labor, it was for pre-eclampsia.
i started part-time at work at 28 weeks, and took it easy at home, but i wasn't really ever on bedrest before i went to the hospital.

We'll see what happens at my 33 week appt!

I left work at 22 or 23 weeks, I had a desk job or I would have left earlier....still wish I would have left earlier anyway LOL
25 weeks I went on hospital bedrest due to PTL. Stayed for 6 weeks.
31 weeks the babies came when baby B (Hayden) broke her water.
Good luck!
