crap. (work related -might be long)

I'm at work. 1st day back. Got here at 7am to miss sitting in the parking lots that they like to call freeways around here.

Log into my personnel work info to look up my PTO remaining. I left in June with 3+ weeks available. I should have been accumulating ever since.

94 hours PTO available, 204 hours used. Hmmmm something's wrong.

a little backstory here: I was supposed to get 20 weeks full pay, then the remaining weeks at 1/2 pay from the state. However, my work continued to pay me after the 20 weeks. Then they contacted me that I had been overpaid (apparently my state checks were supposed to go to them, and I was only to get a check from work, not from work and state those last weeks). So I email them asking them what I need to do to repay it. DH and I were ready to send a check for the overpayment. Never heard back.

Looks like they just took it out of my PTO - without even notifying me as to that being their resolution to this matter.

And now on top of all that - since I am in the TimeCard area of our homepage, the system here is telling me that no time can be entered since I am on LOA status until Dec.31st. What?! My orig. email said my return date was 12/14. No wonder my badge and transponder both wouldn't open the gate the parking garage this morning.

I would love to go home for 3 more weeks, but DH and I weren't really planning for me to be off without pay - soooooooo not sure what I'm doing yet. My manager should be here soon and I will hopefully figure out what I am doing.

What a mess.

Hopefully it was just a matter of miscommunication and you can get it all sorted out without it dragging on too long.

Wow. I hope you can get that straightened out. It's amazing how disorganized companies with regards to leaves and PTO.

well looks like they are resetting my timecard and I am officially back.

now to figure out the PTO thing.

What a pain. I hope they get the PTO thing fixed. How annoying.

Lucky your PTO accrues while you are off. Mine doesn't. I had to take 7 days unpaid cause I didn't want to use it all and not have anything when I returned.
