NPR: it must be really desperate times for some people

Today I decided to return some stuff MIL got me for Hanukkah (She thinks I am way larger than I am, and I'm not sure if she's just a bad estimater or she's just being nasty...) and as I'm walking into the store I almost got trampled by a woman with an armload of clothes who was running out of the store. By the time I realized what was going on I almost got trampled by the associate who was going after the shoplifter.

The shoplifter looked like your run-of-the-mill soccer mom type- I wonder what the deal was with her...
