i was walking out of the house to go to a baby shower yesterday and it was pouring rain and the steps were a bit icy. totally wiped out and managed somehow to land on my knee and my butt (not sure how i managed that).
i was shaken up for like a few minutes then realized, that's what butts are for. my knee is a little bruised up but i seem no worse for the wear, no cramping no spotting nothing. my dad keeps asking me every 10 minutes if everything is ok after my fall, i appreciate his sentiment but he is making me nervous!
of course after i fell it took me over 2 hours to get to the shower which was about 20 miles away. the roads were a mess and the highway i was taking there was closed, i literally spent an hour going less than a mile. moral of the story, i am not going out anymore when it's that nasty outside!
Re: fell on my butt yesterday
OW!!!! yeah my knee hurts, but luckily i didn't break skin or bruise up too badly so i really can't complain.
Ouch! I'm glad you're okay!
I fell on Saturday while DH and I were picking up our foster dog. I had the dog's leash and was walking him in the snow. While stepping from the snow back into the parking lot to go get in the car, I slipped on some ice and wiped out, landing on my left knee and knuckles (since I was holding on to the leash). I got some nasty scrapes, but nothing serious.
Yesterday I noticed that I was feeling really sore and I was wondering - what possible reason could I have to feel like I've been working out? Yeah...I'm sore from the fall. DH keeps telling me that as soon as winter really gets here, I'm not leaving the house.

i'm sure all is fine, baby is very well protected in htere.
I would say 'be selfish', don't go out unless you need to...skip showers if the weather is bad. I stopped being a people pleaser while pregnant, remember...you need to be selfish for YOUR baby.
