At work today. And a vent.

So they asked me to come in for an all-day meeting today, since some work came up for "my" project and I know the most about it. They can't pay me since I'm on leave, but my boss is willing to give me comp time. Fine.

I arrange for child care, get my booty up and dressed and to SF by 8am for an 8:30am meeting, and get a call on my cell at 8:05am saying that the meeting has been pushed back to 10am. Blah. I'm already here!

I know it's not their fault; it's an outside contractor who won't be ready on time and is causing the delay, but ugh.

Now I'm at work, with no work to do, and I have to sit around for 2 hours. Well, at least there is the Nest/Bump! Thank goodness!

(Oh, and thank goodness for the hands-free pump attachments that allow me to type at the same time! Fabulous!)

That does suck, though, that you're stuck waiting around all this extra time. Are you near somewhere you can go to windowshop a little? I guess we'll just have to work extra hard to keep you entertained today!
