embarrassed but I gotta ask for opinions...

I *think* I am leaking. What - I don't know. I am certain I didn't pee myself (clear fluid with no odor). Any other option is plausible. I know that your discharge can change, but this was through my underwear, through my yoga pants, and onto a microfiber chair. I freaked my DH out. He immediately thought my water was breaking. I now have on a panty liner and I it hasn't happened since (and it's been about six hours). Anyone care to guess or relay a similar story?

    when my water broke,(twice)  it didn't 'stop'.  It continued leaking for the duration.  I had no contractions before but they started around 30 minutes later.

    That's good to know.  I even laid down for a few minutes to see if I would feel anything when I got back up.  I knew it wasn't my water breaking, I guess it it's more a question of what it is - if it isn't amniotic fluid.

    if it happens a 2nd time please call your Dr. THe same thing happened with my DD. only it happened several times over the course of the day. I went in to L&D to be tested - the test strip said negative but when they did a quick internal their glove came back soaked. I had a "high leak' and so they ended up keeping me and inducing me.

    Thanks. I appreciate you relaying your story. I will call tomorrow if I have another *ahem* incident. Otherwise, I will chalk it up to one of those weird things that happens during pregnancy. I looked on the third tri board and several women are experiencing it to different degrees.

    With my 1st my water broke and I knew it happened when I heard a "pop".

    They say though that the baby's head can act as plug, if you will, which can cause it to stop coming out.

    I would call the dr in the morning, whether it happens again or not.

    The very same thing happened to me this weekend.  I rested to see if something else was happening but nothing has happened. I'm not quite sure what is was but I will definitely ask at my next appt.  I also have a NST every week because of high amniotic fluid so I guess we will see if it is going down.  GL.

    Better safe than sorry, I think it would be wise to call and be silly than proud and be wrong... Good luck

    I was told that if I suspected a water break, to put on a pad and see if it is saturated within an hour.

     

    My discharge has really increased (sorry for the TMI) so maybe yours is just really ramping up. 

    You better not go into labor before me! ;-)

    I would call the doctor now. I see mine every 3-4 days and they always ask "have you had any contractions or any leaking?" so I'm guessing they would want to know of this experience... GL!!

    Ok, so it happened a little again this morning (not at all while I slept though) so I called.  They are sending me over to L & D to be checked.  I HOPE that I am just peeing myself.  Ha!  I am SO not ready for this baby yet.  I don't think it's anything, but I am trying to do the right thing anyway.  Laura, I am SO not trying to go before you, I swear!

    My water broke in the middle of the night. It was like all of a sudden I felt a small gush. t did keep leaking slowly. I actually waited to call the Dr the next day & she told me to go the the hospital. When they checked me they said there was muconium (don't know if I spelled that right) I guess int he waters & they induced me. I'd call to be on the safe side.

    This wasn't the case with my high leak.....mine was a few dropplets at a time. Happened several times of the course of a few hours. I had to be induced because of the risk of infection once you start to leak.
