Do you still carry a handbag?

... in addition to your diaper bag?

I'm trying to justify a new handbag as a christmas present to DH. He thinks that since he already bought me a petunia boxy backpack, that its a 2 for 1 deal Hmm I'm not convinced

    I only use a purse if I'm going out without DS, which is rare.  Honestly, it would just be one more thing for me to carry.  Sorry, I'm sure that's not the answer you were hoping for!

    Yes I do.  I love my bags, have spent a lot of money on them and don't really want to throw my stuff in the diaper bag.  That doesn't mean I will always do that, but for now this works for me.

    no, I splurged and bought a louis vuitton diaper bag so I use the center pocket as my "purse"

    no. I have enough stuff to carry around. I only carry a handbag when I go out w/out the kids. I keep telling DH I can't wait until next Xmas because I'll be asking for a new handbag because I'll finally be able to carry one around and ditch the diaper bag!! ;)

    TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
    BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.

    Ditto.

    I bought a Coach diaper bag and matching wallet. If I am just running somewhere really quick without him I will just take the wallet. But if I am actually going somewhere for awhile I will take a purse.

    I don't, unless I am going somewhere without DS.  I just put my things in the diaper bag & go!

    My diaper bag is an oversized Coach purse, so I always carry my purse.

    Sure do! I got an oversized Michael Kors bag that fits a diaper, bottle and the must-haves when I go out for a quick trip. If you're going out for several hours, you might need both but i definitely think it's a justified christmas present :)

    Nope. But I dont have a big bulky diaper bag, its about the size of a tote and it holds everything I need.

    Nope.

    I have a PPB Boxy Backpack as well & just throw my wallet & phone into it.

    I do still have my pocketbooks for when I'm out without Harrison, but that's so rare these days.

    But when I go back to work, I definitely will.  I'll be leaving my diaper bag with him, so I'll need a purse to take into work.

    Since this post came back up, I though I would add...

    What about asking for a new diaper bag? I don't know what your price range is, but part of the reason I don't carry a purse is because I have a designer diaper bag that I absolutely adore and doesn't look like a diaper bag! I have Kate Spade one (black/white) which just looks like an oversized tote. Super cute :) I also have a Coach one (both were gifts) but it's pink, so it's not quite as great as a purse.. but they do have the tan ones that are great either as a purse or a diaper bag. Both bags are very very functional as DP.
