I can't AW on FB cause I am making these as gifts for my friends babies and 2 out of the 3 of them are on FB.
They are quiet books (in progress) and man, making 4 at a time is time consuming! I have 2 completed pages (4 sides total) for each baby, and I have to remind myself that its 16 pages done! If i was only making one book, I would be done by now. This project also hits home how much of a novice I am at sewing!
The first page... Each baby has one with their name on it. The letter E comes off the button and can be moved to the other letter E
The second page. The clothes can be hung on the clothesline or put in the basket, and they are used on page 3... (this basket turned out really wonky, so I used it on Ellas page, the others are a little less wonky)
The third page. A dress me doll. Ella has a girl, the boys have the boy. Ella loves to put the clothes on, take them off and find the bellybutton. Each shirt has the babies initials on them.
And the fourth page done so far. Tie me shoe. If I did this again, I think I would do the shoe a little differently, not much though.
Re: AW: My Christmas Project (Lots of PIP's)
OH MY GAWD those are so beyond adorable!!!!
What a great idea! Did you buy a kit? Find a pattern online? Making them of felt? I must know the details.
LOVE THEM -- your friends are so, so lucky to have you. A lot of love is going into making those!
Thanks.
One of my favorite blogs (who is always making something fan-fricking-tastic) made this for her little guy. She always posts her how -to's and templates for the tricky stuff and so then I just dove right in. The pages are made from old sheets that I have been gathering for rugs, backed with decorbond for some stability, and everything else is pretty much felt.
