Which Pack 'n' Play for twins to sleep in?

We are going to have them sleeping together in our room (co-sleeping with each other but not with us) and are trying to decide what the best option is. I was told that the PNP with twin bassinets was the way to go because it held 2 babies up to 15 pounds each.  The person who told me this believed it could hold 2x the weight of the regular PNP. But Graco's website says the regular PNP's bassinet is "for babies under 15 pounds," but doesn't specify whether or not 2 babies can use it at the same time.  So, what gives?  Are they exactly the same weight limit-wise?

Also, is it less of a SIDS risk to have them in separate bassinets in the same PNP, or is it okay to put them both in a big one together?

Any advice is much appreciated!

  • The general recommendation when this is asked on this board it to NOT get the twin PNP.  Just get one or two regular ones.

We had our twins in the regular one until 2.5 months when they went into their cribs.

  • Or you can get the arms reach co-sleeper which holds 30 pounds & put both of them in there for a few months...

  • we bought a regular Graco PNP ( Utopia model)We chose it because it holds up to 30lbs in the bassinet feature, some of the other models held up to 20 if i remember correctly. We set it up the other day to check it out and it has tons of room for 2 newborns to sleep in it together ( we plan on having them sleep in our room in it for a few weeks, then transfer to their cribs)
