Anyone have a LO that went through...

a "get up VERY early" phase. If so how long did it last and how did he/she get out of it?

DS used to go to bed around 6-630 and eat 2x a night and be up for the day by 6. He now goes to bed between 6-7..usually closer to 6 and gets up at 4am and want to be up for the day. I am going insane...4am is crazy!

Any advice if your LO did this? Thanks ladies!

    I don't know how "awake" your baby is, but I've been hearing mine on the monitor just a babbling away at 5am. 15 min later he's back asleep...So I haven't been getting up till he's insistent.

    Can you see if he will go back to sleep for a while through an additional feeding? That is WAY too early for me! I know that even still when DS gets up too early, we put him in the swing for a bit and he knocks right out. He seems to struggle to put himself back to sleep as the night progresses. I know its a bad habit to start, but he's been pretty good about not needing the swing as often. Good luck!

    DS will get up anywhere between 4-6 every day. I usually nurse him and put him back in his crib.  He'll usually sleep for an hour after that in his crib.

     If I'm really tired and lazy, I'll just bring him into our bed and nurse him. I can get another 2 hours out of him that way.

    Yes we ended up shifting his bedtime later. We did it in 15 minute increments every few days until we got to 7 and it helped alot. He would go to bed between 545 & 615 the ladtest now he is in bed at 7. Occassionally he gets up early but we don't get him out of bed until 6 no matter how early he wakes up. Most of the time he falls back to sleep.
