Those that make & freeze baby food

What have you found that is best to make and freeze baby food?  Here is what I have heard of:

 Fresh Baby Trays - https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2721830&CAWELAID=107516075

Baby Steps Freezer Tray - https://www.diapers.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?productid=9875

Beaba Multiportion Freezer Tray - https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/e202/

EDIT: For those that use ice trays, do you not use a lid?

What is the best size and style?  TIA!

  • ice cube trays....my mom has also used the 3 oz plastic dixie cups to make bigger cubes if needed
  • I use freezer zip lock bags.  Then when I'm defrosting, I dip the bag in warm water and cut an edge off the corner and squeeze out the food.

  • Ditto the cheap ice cube trays.  It only take a few hours to freeze then transfer to a zip lock.

  • Once you divide it all up, just wrap it in plastic wrap while it freezes.

  • I have the Baby Cubes and the cheap ice cube trays.

I freeze some in cubes for taking back and forth to my mom's and church, and use the trays for home meals.

I don't have a lid for the trays, I just wrap them in saran wrap until they're frozen and pretty much transfer the food to ziplock bags as soon as they're frozen.

  • Bed Bath and Beyond makes ice cube trays with lids for $5.99/pack

And I do not understand those who would spend $8.97 on something that I could get at Walmart for $.97.

    To each her own....
