that doesn't have Zinc in it? I'm allergic to Zinc (mild skin reaction) and we think DS might be too. When we used the cream on his diaper rash he had a reaction similar to the one I have when exposed to Zinc.
I can't recommend anything without Zinc, but my friends mom is a NICU nurse and she had told me about some homemade diaper rash cream that you could put together. Maybe do some research on that or call the hospital where DS was born or your pedi.
I highly recommend Northern Essence Diaper rash salve. It is fantastic! It clears up any redness/rashes DS has very quickly. No zinc, all natural ingredients. Get the twist up tube for super easy application too. We just swipe it on his clean bottom. I ordered it from pittsburgh cloth diapers with free shipping.
We use Aquafor. It is made by eucerin. It does not contain zinc and that is part of the reason why we use it because I dont like the residue left behind from zinc. It has always cleared up our DS diaper rash. I also use it on his dry spots. Works like a charm. They make a baby aquafor as well as regular....not sure that there is a difference, but alittle goes a long way with this. It is a bit more expensive, but worth the money in my opinion.
