Does anyone believe this stuff?!?!

Ok...so this may sound absolutely nuts, but do any of you believe "sixth" sense kind of stuff?

One of my mom's best friends claims she is psychic (hey, I don't judge); in fact, she actually does a lot of work with her local police department and his highly regarded in this area. A long time ago, she told my mom that I was going to have a little baby boy, and it would happen sooner than I think. At first I was like "whatever, we're not even going to start trying until March anyhow..." basically thinking if we're not trying till then, there's NO way I'll be PG "sooner than I think". Well, well...a week and a half ago, DH had a major change of heart, and wants to start trying PRONTO!! crazy??

THEN...another one of my mom's friends, who has had several otherworldly experiences in her life, called my mom at work 2 weeks ago and said "you're going to be a grandma" My mom called me to tell me that her friend had had a dream so real and so vivid, that even SHE has never experienced anything like it! She said my mom was sitting in a room and I walked in, holding a baby wrapped in a blue blanket, handed it to my mom and said "meet your grandson"...

Now...I'm wondering if it's total quack or if there's something TO these premonitions?? Do any of you ladies believe this stuff??? Any thoughts???

If every vivid dream I had was real I'd have at least 5 kids, a pet dinosaur, been killed several times over and a lot of other crazy stuff.

Yeah...I totally hear ya!! I wouldn't believe the nutso crazy dreams I have had, but since these women have prior experiences and skills in that area, it had me thinking...

that, and of course, anything "baby" pulls on my heartstrings a little bit!

Yeah, I'm with ya. My mom had a dream the other night that I gave birth to an Asian child and my husband was angry and demanded a paternity test. I'm pretty sure I'm not having an affair!

We had this discussion once during the weekday. I think it's fun to listen to that stuff, but take it all with a grain of salt. If you get KU earlier than March, what makes it anything more than a coincidence?

Haha, I know. She said that she was just happy it was a boy and that she said (in the dream) "I dont care what race he is, he's precious!"

I think some people have that gift but I wouln't take it to seriously right now. Just keep it in mind and see what happens. I guess I kind of agree with j_luvs_r with coincedences. I know I had a dream about my grandma dying in a hospital. It didn't look like her but I remeber telling my cousin that I had to tell my mama since it's her mom. About 1 week later my mama called and said that they found a large tumor on her side (she had lung cancer but it already spread). After that she just went down hill and passed away a couple of weeks later. That dream really scared me because it came true. I had another dream that came true about a friend getting hurt. I told my husband about it and a couple of days later we found out she did get hurt pretty bad.

Devon - I totally agree with the other girls to try and take it with a grain of salt so that it doesn't make you crazy. It could screw with your head and stress you out even more, BUT I absolutely believe there are people out there that have an ability to be able to sense things. I personally knew someone that had been able to tell people things that she should not even know. People like that do exist and I hope those 2 ladies are right :-) Just try not to take what they said too seriously because you will end up relying on their "visions" and that won't be good for you mentally/emotionally.

I had a dream that my gal pal was preggers with a girl, and she was/is. I take that as great coincidence though. My other gal pal had a dream that I was preggers and having a boy, and so far, that hasn't been true. It's fun to wonder, but I wouldn't put any stock in it. See what happens at the end of your cycle, and don't stress till then. If you get too excited and it turns out to be a BFN, you'll be super bummed...

I believe it. I am not saying I am psychic but in 2004 I had a little cousin that died due to a football injury and one month prior to that I had a preminition that a young man in my family would die (we only have 3 men)....Then back in nursing school I had a preminition that a friend of my would get pregnant and buy a home. I told her about it but she didn't believe me because she was 40, had multilple very large cysts on her ovaries and uterus and was told that she had a very slim chance of having kids. She had been having unprotected sex with her fiancee for 4+ years and never got pregnant. However, in August 2009 she found out she was expecting and is now 4 months pregnant. Not to mention she was also in the home buying process when she got her BFP.

Again, I am a strong believer. Wink
