  I think it's a personal opinion.  I'm not used to mine that high, so I'd say it's too high-but it might be something I could get used to.

  I think it depends on the size of the room and whether or not you have to bend your neck.  So small room, yes...large room, no.

  Depending on how big/heavy the tv is, make sure that wall can support the weight of it.

  Nope I like it that way.  Ours isn't hung over our fireplace but it sits on the mantle.
