Night time sleeping issues

does anyone's twins sleep nicely during the day in between feedings and are fussy, ster, or cry at night in between feedings? does this mean they have there days and nights mixed up? how did you handle it or is it just a matter of time before this changes. i keep saying they are more comfortable in the pnp during the day then in the co sleeper at night. any suggestions would be great. sleep machine didn't really help to much either last night.

Re: Night time sleeping issues

  • DS had his days and nights mixed up when he was a NB.  It's rough, but it passes after a few weeks.  Make sure to have the lights on/shades up and noise during the day, keep the house dark and quiet at night.  Try not to stimulate them or be entertaining to them at night, be as boring as you can be (as hard as it may be since they're so cute you just want to play with them).

  • I could've written this exact post!!  We're having the same exact issues!!! It totally seems as if they prefer their pnp over their cribs bc they just don't fuss as much in between feedings as they do at night when we move them to their cribs. I have no advice, but would love to see if anyone out there does bc i can use it too!
  • YUP! This is pretty much out life, too. If you find any answers - let me know! They are almost 4 weeks now and things have gotten a little better, but not by much.
  • Oh my gosh, we are have the exact same problems! They sleep like little angels in the day. The problem is more with our little girl, Makenna. At her "bedtime" bottle, she fits and fits: rares back, hollers, sucks in air, wails...the works. Landon, our boy, takes his bottle, conks out and does good. Our pedi recommended we add rice cereal to the bedtime bottles. It does good for Landon, for Makenna not so much. I am so frustrated too. All I'm doing is trying very hard to stick to my routine, do as the other posts have done with lights/noise in the day and dark/quite in evening. Oh and PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY! I don't know if this is what 'they' call colic, acid reflux or day/night confusion. Wish someone could help us out! Oh and mine are 2 months old but born as preemies at 31 weeks. My actual due date was dec 9th so we've been told to consider them "developmentally" newborns.
  • My girls are doing the same thing right now. Hang in there!
