? re: Movement (pregnancy related)

I posted this on 1st tri, but its so slow over there and there are a few pregnant mama's hanging over here this evening.

When did you or do you expect to feel the baby move this time? It was a while for me w/ DD, but I think it was b/c I had no idea what I was feeling for. I'm already having the feeling something is kicking/moving, but I know its early and I keep attributing it to gas. Embarrassed

Just curious what other 2nd + time Mamas expect/experience. TIA!

I think I've felt a few little "bubble" type movements last week and this week. I don't think it was gas, but there just haven't been enough of them to really tell.

I'm not a mommy of two, but, when I was pregnant with DS, I started feeling what I can only describe as little flutters around 13-14 weeks. I felt my first unmistakeable kick at 18 weeks.

Between 14-15 weeks I could start feeling little "rolling" type movements. Now it's becoming a lot more noticeable.

I felt DS around 17w. The first time I felt this baby was around 19w.

With DS it was 19 weeks, but this time around I felt movement at around 15 weeks. I think just because I knew what it felt like so I recognized it as movement and not gas.

I didn't feel movement with my first until 16 weeks, but with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies, I felt it much earlier, like before 12 weeks. It could totally be it!

with 3rd - flutters at 16. full on kicks at 17ish. maybe i wasn't paying attention before lol

I felt movement at 14 weeks and kicks at 18 weeks.

I felt the baby move last Monday at my OB appt. And I can tell you for certain I never would have thought it was the baby moving in different circumstances.

The OB was listening for the baby's heartbeat for the first time, and it was taking a while, as she was moving the doppler back and forth, there was a distinct 'thhmmp' kind of loud sound picked up on the mic, just as i felt "something". She said 'That's the baby flipping..' and I was so excited!

I attribute it to the position, the level of concentration we were both giving my abdomen, and the confirmation of the doppler. Though now that I've recognized the sensation, I'm on the lookout. First time around, I didn't feel DD moving til about 20 weeks in. I had an anterior placenta that time around, not sure about ths time.

Around 12 weeks I felt him move, and then about 15-16 weeks you could see him moving around my belly from the outside and DH could feel as well.

I felt flutters around 11-12 wks and then was feeling her pretty good by 13wks. I felt her from the outside around 16 wks but dh has yet to feel her. It has been so cool being able to feel her so much already!

I've seen several other 2nd+ moms say they started feeling movement around 13 wks. I think I felt the baby for the first time tonight!!! I say I think it was the baby b/c the flutter wasn't followed by gas! Big Smile
