a question

Hi Girls!

This is my first pregnancy and I am worried about every little thing.  I cannot feel the babies yet, due to my anterior placenta.  I can however feel a considerable amount of pressure when I am standing.  Is this something that is normal?  Even when I put my socks on it's uncomfortable to lift my legs up.  I did call my OB office on Friday and told them all of this and they said get off your feet and rest, but like I said I am worried and need some more reassurance.  So any thoughts you could share would be appreciated.

Re: a question

  • It's completely normal, and largely due to gravity.  Listen to your doc - rest.

  • I've had the same thing.  Some days are worse than others and I think it's just the weight of two babies combined with the fact that I'm extremely short waisted.  There's just not a lot of room in there for them so I feel everything more.

If it's bad, relax on the couch, put your feet up and make sure you're drinking plenty of water.  I always feel better after a day of resting and getting tons of water into my system.

  • I felt the same way & also had an anterior placenta. I didn't feel any REAL movement until 23-24 weeks, and even then it wasn't SUPER distinguishable. Don't worry, you will feel them soon!
