We made the little snowman handprint ornaments with DS. He wasn't really sure about me painting his hand at first but then he got into it. (I usually have to coax him a little for finger paints too). We made enough for each set of grandparents, plus a couple extra in case we messed some up. After the handprints dried I painted the rest with paint pens, which are my new favorite craft item.

Re: My turn to AW ornaments PsIP
What a great idea! I wonder if I have time to do that this week with the girls...
Just one. One for us and then one for each set of grandparents. With a couple extras we could give the the two great grandparents too, I suppose.
It doesn't take long at all. If you use the paint pens the paint dries super quick too. I was able to do all the painting and detailing in just an hour or so today.
Here's the poem you attach to a card if you're interested:
These aren't just five snowmen
as anyone can see.
I made them with my hand
which is a part of me.

You'll look back and recall
Christmas of 2009
When my hand was just this small.
Just some kind of plain acrylic paint. I bought whatever was in the clearance bin and white. Of course I found my box of paint today while pulling out baby clothes. Oh, well, still only cost me $.25
