stomach issues after c section

Did anyone have stomach problems during recovery. I am 2 weeks past my surgery and my stomach has been a mess the last few days. Just thought it might have something to do with the bowels being irregular after c section. My bowels have been very irregular prior to this. I know tmi sorry!!

    Yep - I sure did after my C with DD. My doc said it was from everything being shoved around. I tend to have a sensitive tummy anyways so I do not think that helped.

    I remember feeling much better when 3 weeks post-op. I spent some time at Walgreens though - Tums, Pepto, Immodium...

    Feel better!

    Yes -- I swear I had bowel issues for months, seriously like 6 months.  It sucked.

    i didn't have problems after my c/s- but after my vaginal delivery with Griffin i seemed to develop IBS... i had lots of cramps in the mornings, lots of poop issues, etc... and ironically- that all ended right after i gave birth to the twins! (via c/s)... really strange- but i don't have the same problems now that i had for the last 2 yrs!

    yes, for about three weeks - horrible gas and constipation but then diarrhea sometimes too! It was the worst part of recovery for me. I am sure you are almost through it...

    I had the most horrible gas and gas pains.  No one told me that this was common.

    I was fine in the hospital and didn't have any issues.  Once I got home it seemed to kick in.

    It always came at night and it hurt and I passed tons of gas.

    At my 6 week pp check up I asked the OB and she said yep it is normal and it happens.

    Like another PP said I had it for a good 6 months or so.

    I think that is normal - plus it may be partly hormones as well.
