If you're one of those people, like me, who thought that charting was maybe just a little too obsessive, and you're a bit hesitant to try it, this post is for you!
Let me paint you a picture: It's 4:55am. I pop up 5 minutes before my alarm goes off, and instantly reach for my BBT. I'm a bit excited because I'm pretty sure I O'd yesterday, so I'm hoping to see a big temp jump.
BBT: beep....beep....beep...beepbeepbeep!
Me: (looks at BBT, sees 98.2) Yes!!
DH: (still asleep, mind you, it's 5am) Did the temp go up?
Me: Yup!
I thought this was awesome for so many reasons:
1) I can finally get a bit more insight into whether or not my body is working properly. It's truly amazing.
2) DH is kinda learning through osmosis. His comment killed me!
3) We no longer have to guess if we timed things right...we just have to wait and see.
4) I can't wait for the 2ww because now I'll have temps to keep me from going crazy!
So, if you're not on the charting bandwagon yet, consider this my official endorsement. It's definitely worth it!

After teh d&c I said I was going to relax, not obsessive, no temping allowed to try and "de-stress".
That first month not temping was the most stressful of any since starting TTC. I had NO idea where I was, what my body was doing or ANYTHING
I HATED it

This Momma's Journey
~Today I am pregnant and I love my baby~
see here's the thing:
1) setting an alarm every single day . . I LOVE me some sleep. it would be torture.
2) I still am not sure how the temps wouldn't make you still crazy during 2ww. you're still analyzing every little up down and all around - and guessing did it go up b/c did it drop b/c . . . .
I'm still skeptical . . (but that's just me). But, come January and still no BFP . . .I'm headed to thermometer land.
1) just go back to sleep. It seriously takes less than a minute and I never have a problem going back to bed.
2) I'm crazy anyway, so what does it matter to add an extra "thing" to the list

This. And, I went so crazy in the 2ww last time when I wasn't charting, that it can only get better. I just feel last time I started wanting to POAS around 8dpo, and I kept coming up with reasons to rationalize it. This time, I know for myself, if I see the temps are still going up, I'll be able to hold off until I actually miss AF. I only want to do the POAS thing to know what is going on...but it doesn't really tell me anyways because it's too early. The temps will at least let me know if things are looking up or not. This might not be the case for everyone, though...
Missed m/c 11.09 | Missed m/c 3.10 | We miss you & love you so.

It's definitely worth it!!!! DH knows about the need for temps to be high too! The only caveat is that it's tough (for newbies like me) to not focus on individual temps and see the forest through the trees. For anyone that read my posts this past week, I was worried like heck about low temps, but they were still above the coverline.
I endorse charting too!!!
