I had moved away from my family in NJ to be with him in FL, and it was my first Christmas away from home.
He surprised me by flying in my daddy (yes, I call him daddy). We were at the airport and he had convinced me that we were picking up his buddy. When I saw my dad, I bursted (is that a word) into tears right in the middle of the arrivals gate. Best present ever.

Mine was a sorta ugly robe from VS that is huge and a weird navy color. But he picked it out all by himself, so I was impressed. And some other stuff I don't remember.
Looking back, I can't believe how much we spent on each other that Christmas. We'd only been dating since April and we were still in school. I guess we were more serious than I remember!
BFP #1- 1/16/09- Baby Ava stillborn at 32 weeks, possible cord accident, 7/30/09

BFP #3- 7/30/11- Baby Boy Due April 3, 2012
My first Christmas with DH we spent with his family (who aren't big on gifts, when my family goes a little overboard with them). So he spoiled me with a digital camera AND an ipod. So sweet.
Yeah, he used to be all sweet and romantic like. Not-so-much anymore. haha.
mine too! all part of the wooing phase. he once drove about 200 miles in the middle of the night (round trip) to leave candy and a love note on my car.
Well, technically, the first Christmas present was a red/coral colored North Face coat that was way too expensive. It was kind of cute how concerned he was with whether or not I had a good coat. But a few weeks before that there was the engagement ring, does that count?

He got me a heart bracelet from Tiffany's, a precious moments entitled "Snowman Like My Man," and a Precious Moments Ornament called "The First Day of Christmas"
Tiny diamond stud earrings. They were gorgeous and I honestly didn't think he would spend that much on me. He was working at the time but wasn't pulling in that much since it was sort of like an internship. Unfortunately, I lost them and I have been kicking myself every since.
We had been dating for like 8 months and he bought me a diamond promise ring. We were together for about 2 months before my 17th birthday and he got me a diamond necklace. I like diamonds

3 books: the Mr. Boston bartending guide, an America's Test Kitchen Cookbook, and I don't remember the third lol. Books are big in his family. They are always buying each other books. Maybe this is why our shelves are overflowing!

Yep, we had only been dating about 6-7 weeks, so we didn't really do Christmas, but he still got me a book to help me learn to speak German. It was (obviously) something we had talked about.

Pat got me a teddy bear and a hairbrush..... I'm not really sure why the hairbrush. Maybe it came free with purchase? But I do remember he was really concerned about the wrapping job being good enough. So his dad's GF helped (and by helped I mean did) with the wrapping. Oddly enough, its a good hairbrush, and I still have it. I did not keep the bear, though it was cute.

Bif bought me a really pretty blue topaz necklace with matching earrings. He told the guy at the counter "Her birthstone is emerald, but this one matches her eyes." and some woman overheard and just completely swooned and said that was the sweetest thing she'd ever heard. I know there were some other fun gifts, but that's the only one I can remember.
We had been dating for about 3 months and my wonderful dh (bf at the time) bought me a remote car starter and had it installed for me...I love it - truly the best gift ever!!! And he still buys great gifts - I always love getting gifts from him

Omg, I can't remember what he got me. I am blanking. Must not have been too impressive, huh?
Exactly what I was thinking. We have been together since I was 14 though, so quite awhile. That's too long ago to remember. Oh, wait we had seen the movie Lion King in a theater on our first double date and he got me a Nala stuffed animal to remember it by. That's all I remember though. ) DH is more about buying a lot of little things for me, rather than one big thing. And we always set a cap for Christmas so we don't ever spend. So no jewelry here.

The first Xmas gift I got from DH was a surprise trip to go gamble in Nevada (I am a Black Jack queen). We got drunk and had a good time.

My first Christmas gift from DH was an engagement ring. Of course he had to wrap it in a large box just to throw me off.
