thank the ladies who responded to my post about budget (another question) last night.  I do live in an area with a relatively low cost of living so that was probably something I should have added. The reason I didn't really mention a budget is becasue it is kind of open to a point becasue DH owns his own business.  so we have no auto payments, cell bills or internet bills.  We plan on paying about 1600-1800 for our new mortgage but that is all we really have figured out.  we would like to keep costs down in all other areas.  we are trying to see what many are paying if they have insurance on their own...not through work. Sorry so long just wanted to explain since mmy post was so broad last night...thanks again for your info ladies.

    Absolutely, sorry I personally couldn't be of more help!

    I think Daisy77 and her husband own their own business, as well as several other ladies here... maybe do a specific post about private insurance cost, just to get an idea?

    Also, please post as many times as you need to help with your specific questions, I'm sure lots of ladies here would be happy to chime in about what we pay for cable, car insurance, life insurance, groceries (this is posted about a LOT here and is very helpful!), haircuts/make-up/personal hygeine, savings, travel, home phone/internet, etc.  

    This is a really great, open & honest board with lots of active members who truly want to talk and help a fellow SAHM/W out!  :)
