did you do the all day or weekly?

And how horriable is it if you leave early!?!?

LOL.. I really want to go. But 9-5 is a long time and I have a feeling that about half way through, I'll get my fill and want to leave. Which by the way, DH would SO LOVE. The only bummer is, the tour is the last thing, and I would like to see the hospital.

We don't have time for the ones during the week or even the ones on Saturdays. I checked with my hospital and they offer a package you can take home...it's the same stuff, same videos, etc. You just do it all at home. I'm sure you can still do the tour.

We took six weekly classes, but they were Bradley Method and not offered through the hospital. If you pay to go, I'd stay for all of the info they give.

we went last weekend and it really kept our attention with no trouble. We did end up leaving early, but that was b/c DH passed out and had to go the ER!

I did one all day Saturday one. It was over a little earlier than it said it would be, and it couldn't hurt to stay the whole time if you're paying for the whole class. They had a lot of good information at mine.

We did a weekly class - six 2-hour classes. I actually really liked that we had a week to digest each week's material. It was kind of hard to get DH on board, but he was a good sport about it and by the end we really had both learned a lot.

We did the 6 week course variety.What we liked about this version was that we got to meet some new people and now we have some contacts, which will be good for me because I'll be a SAHM for a year.

But they were a good crowd and by the fourth week we were going out aftetr the class to the pub for a drink.

It also became a bit of a date night for me and DH. We would go out for dinner and then to our class. Sometimes we just got take out and went and sat by the lake or the river, but it was some nice time together.

A lot of the info was either stuff I knew or could easily find on the net but it was good to get me and DH talking about some stuff and I think it was a bit of an eye opener for DH.

Having said all that, the course wasn't essential and if we hadn't done it I would have just done more reading and gotten the same info.

I took a 2 part class, two days before my second class, I was exposed to swine flu. ? I had to call and cancel the second class, because I didn't think a room full of pregnant women would appreciate me coming in; we didn't know if I was going to get sick.

The thing was, class number 1 wasn't that informative. ?I've been reading everything I can get my hands on since I got my BFP; they didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.?

We took a class that was 2 hours a night for six weeks, plus we live 30 minutes from the hospital, so it was a 3 hour commitment. We were both dreading it- and I actually almost cancelled it a couple of days before because DH was complaining about it. Shockingly we ended up having a great experience and really enjoyed it. We met some really nice couples and it was just a great bonding experience for the two of us-- we laughed at the sometimes cheesy teacher, and yet also learned a lot. Do you have to pay for your class? We did, so I can't see paying for something if you know you aren't going to stay.

Check to make sure they're still doing tours - by the time it rolled around for our class to go, the hosptial had stopped them due to H1N1. I was so sad - that was really the only reason I wanted to take the class. We did the weekly classes. It was blah and I didn't learn a lot, BUT DH realized just how things will go do down and what all is involved and has quickly changed from wanting everyone and their dog to be at the hospital waiting to not wanting anyone to come for quite a while after birth - so imo that was the best $60 I could've spent! Wink
