  • he went to a lesser-known med school in order to stay near me.

  • We ran into his [very recent] ex at a bar, and he drunkenly called her later and said "F$%^ you and the horse you rode in on!"

Okay, just kidding (about knowing he was the one...not about the story)

  • He bought me surprise tickets to see Le Bohme a month after our first date because our first date was to see Moulin Rouge.  He knew the cross references and everything.  It was adorable because he actually researched it. He has always supported my arts.

  • The minute I laid eyes on him.  We went out a few times, dated other people over the summer, then reconnected and never looked back.  In the back of my mind I always knew I would marry him even before I fell in love with him.  It was weird.
    I HAVE CHILDREN.
  • we were laying on the couch in his apt in college and he was singing along to a nelly song.  I looked up and him and just had this feeling.  Now I love that song and it's such a stupid song.  But it was my epiphany!
  • when we met.  we stayed up all night talking and getting to know each other, i just knew.  we both told our parents (without the other knowing) the next day, we met the person we were going to marry.

  • Oh, hummmmm..... Dh was military (still is) when we started dating. He moved away about 6 months after we first kissed. From moment ONE, we were attached at the hip, but I was 19 and he was 21 so we doubted out ability to do the long distance thing (he went over 1000 miles away to go to a military college for 5 years). We decided to break up before he left because we didn't want it to end badly after a few months of doing long distance. So back to the original question....

I knew Dh was THE ONE when, 2 weeks after he left, he called ME on his only 3 min phone call, and told me how much he loved me and how he was wrong and that he wanted to CHANCE the long distance as long as it meant we were together. I fell in love with him all over again. 5 years-2 weeks later, we got married. 3.5 years later, I am more in love with him now than I ever have been.

I'm such a sap after a glass or two of wine ;)

  • Our 3rd 'date' in a winter storm where we decided to rent a movie and stay in.

Without knowing, he brought over my all time favourite movie...which was also his all time favourtie movie.

It's a really, really lame, embarassing movie...of which I won't be mentioning here.

  • I knew DH was the "one" when we were about 4 months into dating. He was coming over for to my apartment for a home-cooked dinner when he called to ask if I needed anything. I told him "no" but jokingly said that the one thing I needed he'd be embarrassed to buy (tampons, lol). He actually called me from the Walgreens standing in the feminine product aisle asking which tampons I needed. Yea, it was kinda odd...but I thought if he'd go to that much trouble and have the balls to call me while standing anywhere remotely near the tampons that he'd probably be a keeper Stick out tongue

Now you have to spill what movie it is, I think it's a bump rule, lol.

He bought me GOOD tix to see Ryan Cabrera AND Nick Lachey. And he went with me!

Wait, I feek like being "Suzie One-Upper" tonight....strike my earlier response...DH took me to HIS very first concert O-TOWN just because he knew I loved them. It is super embarrasing for him now, when ever some one askes the age old question "what was the first concert you ever went to?" Dh has to say O-TOWN. Poor guy, now I feel guilty (almost 8 year later). HAHAHA!!!
