I am looking to buy DS some undies for when we start potty training. Is there any certain kind that is better than others or should I say more user friendly? LOL! I would like the gymboree ones...anyone use those?
We just bought ours at Target. I let DS pick out his new big boy underwear and he was so excited (of course they are all the character ones, but they fit him great).
My DS is 2.5 and he wears boxer breifs (Carters, 77 Kids). He does really well with them. He just pulls them down with his pants and he is able to pull them up pretty easy on his own.
The other should be some that he picks out (usually their favorite character and can be found at Target, Walmart, etc)
Use the "cool" underwear as leverage to get him to use the potty.
We're in tighty whities for now because that's what's most readily available in these smaller sizes.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
We have the cute ones with Handy Manny, Diego, Cars etc. Some of them have started fraying in the back though. I had to throw out 2 of the Diego ones because they were so bad. We also have a couple pairs of the Gymboree ones. DS likes those ones a lot because they are baseball and football. I would suggest only buying them when they are on sale from there
We are PT and I let DS pick his out...I did buy a size larger though because he has difficulty getting thm down. I also bought some boxers (which are basically cotton shorts. They are easier to get on and off for him ... thus equal more success for us!
Re: PT Boys -- underwear question
My advice:
Buy 2 kinds.
One should be super boring and plain.
The other should be some that he picks out (usually their favorite character and can be found at Target, Walmart, etc)
Use the "cool" underwear as leverage to get him to use the potty.
