NBR: How many of you are cooking

Christmas Dinner?  If you are what are you fixing?  I'm trying to decide between ham or a beef as the main dish.  We did Turkey and Ham for Thanksgiving so I'm thinking I want to do something different.

  • yes, I'll be cooking;  DH wants a ham so that's what we'll have. In the past we' ve done surf n turf, Italian food, pork loin....

  • My FIL and his wife can't make it until a couple days after Christmas, so we are doing a belated Christmas dinner with them and my parents- I am going to do cornish hens, braised potatoes, roasted veggies, etc.  I thought they would be something different and easy (shorter cooking time than a turkey!) with a sort of fancy effect.  Rachael Ray and the Neely's both just cooked them on their holiday shows today and both looked yummyyyyy-- just have to decide which recipe to use- RR did a orange/balsamic glaze, and the Neelys did a dry rub on theirs.

  • Nope--we ordering some catering dishes since we don't know whether or not we'll have LO yet (or if we'll be in the hospital). Either way we'll have food in the fridge ready for us :)
