I disagree. I'm new to the area and all my family and friends with babes are in the Southeast. Want to get DS used to being around other people and other children. Thanks for your reply though!
there isn't much 'interaction' at that age- ~ go online and print a free class out and try it. The classes for the older babies/toddlers are much more interactive.
have you looked into story time at your local library/Borders?
Yep, I have been to a Gymboree class and a friend of mine takes her seven month old to Romp n Roll. I'm not sure which I like better, wondering what other's experience had been.
My son loved Gymboree when we went to the free class. Then I found out that it was like $65/month! That was more than MY GYM MEMBERSHIP at LA Fitness!!! So I settled on a few different things - Makin' Music, YMCA swimming...eventually Little Kicker's Soccer, then back to the YMCA for other classes. Romp 'N Roll is great too b/c you can sign up for a session of classes as well. I don't like being stuck at one location. My boys get bored by the end of every session, so they enjoy the change in activity.
Re: Opinons on Gymboree or Romp n Roll?
honestly- i feel that a major waste of money until your child is old enough. It is more for the person taking the baby (to socialize with other moms)-
have you ever been to a class?-
