I've had a morning from hell. First I had a flat(ish) tire in my van so I had to trade cars with my Mom and then I got to work to see that my phone had 8 missed calls from DH. He brought Eli to the babysitter this morning and as he was carrying him in, DH slipped and fell forward. Eli hit the ground hard but Jeff thinks that he was able to protect him enough so he didn't get too hurt. DH is 6'3" so that's a long way to fall. Eli screamed bloody murder and then got really quiet. The babysitter didn't seem too concerned by DH said he was going to take him to the Children's hospital right by her house. I met them there. He has a mild concussion but no visible signs of hitting his head. The doctor things that the hood on his coat may have softened the blow. DH is all banged up though. He has huge cuts on his hands from the ice, he landed wrong on his knee, and his arm hurts. He took Eli home now so they could both rest. What a morning! Not how I like to spend my Friday morning.

Poor guys and mommy! Falling when carrying DS is my worst fear.
DH fell when he was carrying his niece once, he managed to toss her into the snowbank before he fell.
